**Note how levy rates decreased from Jan to Dec 2005. This is due to the growth and increased valuation of the tax base in each of the districts for 2005. School levies are a "fixed" amount, so when growth occurs in a district, that amount is spread over a larger base, effectively lowering each individual's tax rate. The Steilacoom School District's levy rate will change similarily. Most importantly, our projected rate STARTS LOWER than any of the neighboring districts' current rate.
